Pressure Filters

The pressure sand and GAC filters offer an alternative filtration method to gravity filters, and are especially useful where the filters have to be integrated into a pressurised reticulation system. The pressure vessels are fabricated in fibreglass with standard design working pressure of 2.5 bars, 4 bars or 6 bars. Depending on application, the filter internals can comprise of arm collectors or nozzle plate; filter configuration can be vertical or horizontal.

Lamella Separator

The LAMELLA Gravity Settler is an inclined plate, compact sedimentation device. It performs the same function as a conventional clarifier or settling basin but occupies only a fraction of the space. The settling surface in the LAMELLA Separator unit comprises a series of inclined, parallel plates.

 

The LAMELLA Separator offers a number of advantages:-

  • Reduced space requirements
  • Reduced total installed costs
  • Low maintenance due to no moving parts
  • Patented method for flow distribution, which eliminates short-circuiting.

 

TEMA CWUF Sand Filter Description

 

The CWUF Filter is a unique sand filtration system that does not depend on batch washing to clean the filter. Fouled sand is continuously removed from the filter bed and is washed and recycled without any interruption to the filtration process. The continuous mode of operation offers a number of advantages:-

  • Does not have to be taken out of operation for backwashing
  • Constant filtrate quality
  • Simple wash water treatment
  • No backwash tanks
